Founders Note
I’m Diivyaa K. Goyal, the founder and designer of Day of Venus. Born in Karnal, India, I grew up in a family where fashion wasn’t just admired—it was lived. My mother ran a boutique when I was born, my father has always been effortlessly stylish, and my sister, a NIFT graduate with a Master’s from the London school of fashion. Style surrounded me; it was in my environment, in my upbringing, and, in many ways, in my very blood.
Yet my own path was anything but straight. I studied commerce with the dream of starting a business, then pursued arts in university, with subjects like political science. College became my first runway—I designed outfits for events, led the arts club, and, in a place where fashion was rare, I became known for it. Aviation came next, where I earned my flying license and felt the thrill of literally having wings. Law followed, shaping my mind and giving me strength, and I went on to practice as an advocate in courts for about 8 years.
But through it all, one thing remained unchanged—fashion. For me, dressing well was never about vanity; it was about presence, about showing up in the world with confidence, elegance, and grace. Clothes, shoes, bags, hair—every detail mattered. It wasn’t just a habit, it was who I was.
